The JP379CC is a beautifully designed instrument, based on the traditional German tuba. The tuba features a 17 bell for outstanding resonance with 4 piston valves and a thumb activated rotary valve.
The intonation is immaculate in all registers of this instrument, extremely free blowing and so easy to play. The player can produce such a dark and rich sound from putting not a lot of effort in. After going through some excerpts, I found not only can this instrument produce a dark sound, but also a beautiful warm tone in the middle register and a sweet tone in the higher register.
I find myself not having a lot to write about. Ill certainly be purchasing one over the next few weeks. This is certainly one of the best CC tubas I have ever played, and to top it off, its amazing value. I cannot recommend this tuba enough.
